Hearts for Sight invites you to be part of the White Cane Camping Trip, designed especially for those who are blind or visually impaired. This one-of-a-kind weekend will immerse you in the beauty of nature, encourage new skills, and strengthen your confidence—all while enjoying friendship, discovery, and community.
When:
September 26 – September 28, 2025 (Friday to Sunday)
Where:
Leo Carrillo State Park, California — Nestled along a beautiful beachfront
Trip Highlights
- Hands-on camping experience: pitch your tent, prepare meals, and learn outdoor living skills
- A Saturday morning hike exploring the scenic campground
- Relax and enjoy the shoreline at Leo Carrillo State Beach
- All camping gear, food, and equipment provided—making your trip simple and worry-free
HFS will provide carpool details once campers are confirmed.

Volunteer Call: Be a Camp Volunteer & Sighted Guide
Would you like to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a weekend outdoors? We are inviting sighted volunteers to join as companions and guides for this rewarding adventure.
As a volunteer, you’ll:
- Assist campers with setting up tents, preparing meals, and learning outdoor skills
- Guide participants on hikes and nature walks
- Help create an inclusive, empowering, and fun experience for our VIPs
- No cost to attend | Very limited volunteer spaces
- We may also need assistance with transportation/carpooling.
