Leo Cabrillo State Beach White Cane Camping (California Parks Funded)
Camping trip where VIPs (visually impaired persons) can immerse themselves in community science programs which leverage their knowledge and abilities and use them to empower the learner to directly contribute to the conservation and protection of Leo Cabrillo State Park, as well as natural areas in their own communities. VIPs will have opportunities to combine mobility training and sensory awareness with explorations of the park’s beaches, backcountry, and Historic District, all while integrating scientific topics like oceanography and ecology.
Additional information will be provided as the date gets closer. Please email or call HFS staff if interested.
