Directly adjacent to it\, Carbon Canyon Regional Park offers a more serene experience\, with its tranquil surroundings and family-friendly atmosphere\, all shaped by the damming of Carbon Canyon Creek. Despite the challenges faced during the 2010 California drought\, a resilient grove of towering redwood trees continues to thrive within the park’s boundaries. \nOur journey will focus on the Carbon Canyon trail\, which features smooth dirt paths\, roads\, and the occasional concrete sidewalk. The hike begins with a refreshing creek crossing\, setting the stage for a relaxing and immersive nature experience. The trail leads us into the awe-inspiring redwood grove\, providing a peaceful retreat surrounded by shade and serenity. \nFollowing our exploration of the grove\, we’ll loop back through the park\, where we can unwind and enjoy a leisurely lunch on the grassy lawns or at the picnic tables. With only four miles to cover and minimal elevation gain of 100 feet\, this hike promises to be a perfect blend of exploration and relaxation in a stunning natural setting. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Transportation and Lunch Provided!\nHFS will provide bus transportation from designated pick-up spots in Encino and Temple City.
