Join Hearts For Sight for this exciting trip! \nHearts For Sight invites you to join us on a private chartered boat trip on the Betty O to either experience fishing for the first time or enjoy fishing and competing with fellow blind and visually impaired participants to see who can catch the most fish! \nAs Hearts For Sight promotes a healthy lifestyle through fitness and healthy eating\, we also encourage some playtime. Thanks to the generous grant from Adams Legacy Foundation\, we invite you to a free fishing trip with HFS. Yes\, you read that right…this is a free fishing trip! Food and drink on the boat are also covered. \nThis trip is limited to 35 participants: 25 blind/visually impaired participants and 10 sighted volunteers. First come\, first served. \nAs with any HFS event\, please follow the RSVP process by clicking the link below that applies to you. Please note: Participants or volunteers bringing a guest must remember to send your guest’s full name and contact details. A deposit of $25 per person will reserve your spot. \nImportant Notes:\n\nFishing License: Everyone aboard the boat is required to have a fishing license. Anglers aged 16 years and up must have a fishing license. A one-day fishing license costs $20.26. VIP participants may apply for a FREE fishing license with the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Download the application for a FREE fishing license here. Read the instructions carefully and gather the required documents to submit the application. Good news! The application form can now be submitted online. This is a lifetime free fishing license; you just need to purchase the ocean enhancement validation for $7.05 annually for deep-sea fishing.\nEquipment: No equipment? No worries. Loaner rods and reels are available.\nSighted Volunteers: Sighted volunteers are needed to assist our VIP participants.\n\nDeposit Information:\nTo send your $25 deposit\, Zelle is the only accepted method. Nestled in the enchanting wilderness of northeast Long Beach\, this lightly managed nature area promises an unforgettable journey. \nAdventure Awaits!\nAs we embark on our adventure\, you’ll be guided through well-marked dirt trails\, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable hike while avoiding any pedestrian traffic jams. The scenic route will lead us through the heart of this mesmerizing park\, providing ample opportunities to connect with nature’s serene beauty. \nEnjoy the Scenic Beauty!\nAfter we’ve explored the wild landscape\, we’ll head back to the park’s civilized area for a delightful picnic lunch. Share stories and laughter with fellow nature enthusiasts as we soak in the peaceful ambiance of El Dorado. \nPerfect for All Levels!\nThe round trip distance is approximately 3.7 miles\, with no significant ups or downs\, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.
