Hearts for Sight’s Cardio Resistance Class with Joseph Burton- Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and Functional Nutrition Specialist Coach!!!

This class is specifically adapted to meet the needs of people living with visual impairments, but all friends are welcomed to join.

Why Cardio Resistance?

Cardio resistance allows you to strengthen your muscles with resistance training while also conditioning your heart and lungs with Cardiovascular exercise.

Cardiovascular training is vital for helping you achieve optimal overall health while striving for your fitness-related goals. When cardio resistance training is properly integrated into your weekly workouts, it can help maximize calorie burn all while also having a good time.

What to expect:
HFS’ Cardio Resistance Class is a 10-week individual group training class for beginners who are looking to improve their cardiovascular health and strength in a group setting. Classes are designed to provided cohorts of 6 individual who meet twice a week via Zoom.

Although this class is for beginners, participant can expect to be challenged with low to moderate intensity work outs that are designed to be fun, motivating, and of course, result driven.

Since this is a group setting, you can expect to find motivation from your peers and your coach, together helping you stay accountable to your health-fitness goals.

Participants will need to have access to a computer or phone that is capable of hosting Zoom meetings. To experience the best results, it is recommended that participants have their cameras on during the class so that the facilitator can provide effective instructions and cueing to all members of the group.

Some equipment is required to successfully participate in this training program. Hearts for Sight can purchase the equipment should a participant not have access to the following required equipment:

  • Yoga mat/exercise mat
  • Resistance bands with handles
  • Slide disks
  • Water bottles

Hearts for Sight’s Cardio Resistance Class is purely donation based at this time. The recommended donation is $5 per class. Please speak with HFS personnel to discuss other contribution offerings.
