Join Hearts for Sight (HFS) for our final hike of the year at beautiful Debs Regional Park! This special outing brings together a refreshing outdoor adventure and a delicious taco lunch courtesy of HFS. 🌮✨ (Please review the RSVP instructions below.)
🌿 About the Hike
Debs Regional Park is one of Northeast LA’s hidden gems. Nestled in Montecito Heights near Highland Park, it offers a peaceful natural escape amid the city. Our curated route blends trails, dirt roads, and paved paths—perfect for a day of movement, nature, and community connection.
Choose the experience that fits you best—two options: Gentle Hike or Tough Hike!
⛰️ Distance & Elevation Options
- Tough Hike: ~3 miles round trip with a 500 ft elevation gain
- Gentle Hike: ~1.5 miles round trip with a 100 ft elevation gain
🌮 Lunch Details
- After the hike, enjoy a taco lunch with all the fixings, provided by HFS.
- Please RSVP by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, December 17 so we can prepare enough food for everyone.
👁️🗨️ Calling All Sighted Guides
- Our hikes rely on the generosity and teamwork of our sighted guides.
- No guiding experience needed—just a willingness to help and share the trail.
- If this will be your first time guiding, please call Racquel at 818-457-1482 for a brief training session before the event for a brief training session prior to the event.
📝 RSVP Instructions
When RSVPing, please include the following information for each participant, including guests:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Whether each person is a VIP (visually impaired participant) or sighted guide
- Which group you’re joining: Gentle Hike or Tough Hike
Important: Please do not simply say “I’m coming with a guest.” We must have your guest’s full name, phone number, email, and VIP/sighted status to confirm their spot.
