Are you living with visual impairment and love spending time outdoors but aren’t necessarily a hiker? The Hearts For Sight Foundation and the Sierra Club are thrilled to introduce HFS’s Nature Socials, a new series of easily accessible nature events designed just for you!

What Are Nature Socials?

These relaxed events combine peaceful time in nature with community building. You can enjoy quiet moments, play games or chat at picnic tables, and take short walks on accessible paths. Nature Socials are perfect for anyone seeking a stress-free outdoor experience with friends and like-minded individuals.

Nature Socials will take place during the first week of each month, alternating between Mondays and Tuesdays. Events run from midmorning to early afternoon at various parks across the region, including:

  • Elysian Park in Los Angeles
  • Live Oak Park in San Gabriel Valley
  • El Dorado Park in Long Beach

We’re excited to kick off our first event at Elysian Park!

  • Date: Tuesday, February 4, 2025
  • Time: 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM
  • The exact address and time will be provided once we receive your RSVP.
